From the Studio Floor to the Strategy Table

I started in textile design and music. I’ve always loved creative work: the rhythm of collaboration, the spark of new ideas.

 

But it was inside the architecture and design industry that I saw something deeper: incredible talent struggling to lead, stay, or grow in a system that didn’t fully support them.

As an HR Business Partner at Perkins & Will, I worked across studios and firmwide initiatives to develop people systems from the inside. I led hiring and strategy, launched internal coaching, and facilitated critical conversations during moments of change.

But there was always more I wanted to say...and more I knew we could do.

So I became a coach for creative professionals.

Why Coaching...
And Why Now?

In most creative firms, there’s a gap that mentorship and performance reviews can’t fill.

 

Leadership isn’t just a skillset shift — it’s an identity transformation. And that requires deep, individualized work.

That’s where coaching comes in.

I work with the people who drive the work: emerging and mid-career designers and managers navigating visibility, burnout, and leadership readiness.

By supporting them, I help firm leaders protect their most critical resource: their people.

I'm not just a mindset coach. I'm a strategist. I bring years of behind-the-scenes experience in HR, understanding how firms evaluate talent, promote leaders, and navigate change, combined with a certified coaching approach.

Because I’ve sat on both sides — coaching individuals and advising executives — I see the whole system. I understand how organizational decisions get made, what support really sticks, and why surface-level fixes don’t last.

I’ve coached designers before burnout took hold. I’ve helped teams finally communicate what they were avoiding. I’ve supported firm leaders trying to do the right thing when the path wasn’t clear.

This work isn’t just professional for me...it’s personal. It’s a craft.

I live in Oceanside, CA with two kids, three cats, one dog, and my husband.

 

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me playing the ukulele, reading tarot cards or palms, or by the ocean.

I'm Co-Active trained and specialize in regenerative career development.

 

I’ve led firmwide HR initiatives in a global firm, coached across studios, and believe that people systems should be as thoughtful as design systems.

 

I believe every person is fully creative, resourceful, and whole, even when the industry tells them otherwise.
